What if during those instances where you feel that you "lost track of time" it's because someone else took it? Stealing minutes here and there. Never enough to raise an alarm, only enough to cause curiosity in where those missing moments went.
I originally posted this as a flash fiction prompt of 100 words. It could be fun as a longer piece as well.
