So this idea may or may not be from the Romantically Apocalyptic webcomic, but I really like it anyways.
Write about a world where sleep is something you pay for, not something that comes naturally. It doesn't even need to be a scifi, it can be the modern world but with the one change that you buy yourself sleep. What sort of Deluxe Sleep would there be, if you could afford it? Would dreams cost extra? What would happen to people too poor to afford sleep?
